What a show that was!

A packed showground

The Royal Cornwall Show 2007 was a record breaker, with over 127,000 people crowding through the gates.

Activity at the showground was high for days – even weeks – before the event, as these pictures show.

The helicopter arrived to take its place on the Cornwall Air Ambulance stand.

The band played at the pre-show service in the main ring.

Breakfast was served in the pavilion square and a monster truck arrived.

Cattle arrived, to be made ready for judging.

People worked hard on their stands and snatched time to relax.

The steam fair and vintage display began to build

Trade stands filled with merchandise.

Wifi checks were made throughout the showground and flags fluttered.

Hard work was done inside and outside the flower tent.

Little ducks flocked together. There was old and new.

Dave 'The Bullet' Smith arrived with his lovely wife, Audrey and so did the forestry exhibits.

Then the show began... and

Dave Smith took to the air.

Dave Smith was captured on camera.

Visitors from Australia enjoyed all aspects of the show.

Tea and wine were just two of many fine products on sale in the Cornwall Food and Farming Pavilion.

Arts and crafts were on display and the press got to work.

There was dancing in the streets and on the Festival Stage.

Hot air balloons took to the sky.

Champion cattle paraded in the main arena.

Prince Edward made a welcome visit.

Diggers danced and dogs leaped.

Heavy horses displayed in the main arena and ponies played games.

Sheep enjoyed a record and goats were as popular as ever.

Pigs snuffled as judges looked on.

The Countryside area enjoyed the sunshine whilst a Musical Drive filled the arena.

There were rabbits, chickens and thousands of small animals and birds.

Gallopers flew as the Steam Fair puffed into life.

And the showground buzzed with activity under a clear blue sky.
